Stephen Gordon has been a practicing homeopath since 1982 until at least 2010 and is also a trained osteopath. He held the position of General Secretary to the European Central Council of Homeopaths (ECCH) and is a founder member and General Secretary of European Federation for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (EFCAM). He has also served a term as a Trustee of the Prince of Wales' Foundation for Integrated Health.
Unsurprisingly he is an outspoken campaigner for the funding of homeopathy on the NHS and has been critical of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) campaigners and opponents of homeopathy David Colquhoun, Edzard Ernst and Simon Singh.
In a video interview put online in May 2014 Mr Gordon described his role as the General Secretary of the ECCH. He said that amongst other things "I also represent the Council in Brussels where we're engaged in lobbying for complementary medicine and homeopathy".
In October 2014 Mr Gordon shared on his personal Facebook page note saying he had signed a Change.org petition to the WHO on the subject of the Ebola crisis in West Africa, asking them to "Test and distribute homeopathy as quickly as possible to contain the outbreaks".
