Rhun ap Iorwerth is the Plaid Cymru member of the Welsh Assembly for Ynys Môn. He entered the Assembly at the August 2013 by-election.

Nuclear Power

During the 2013 by-election campaign, Mr Iorwerth talked about the proposed Wylfa B nuclear power plant:

"We need to secure a brighter future for our young people and secure investment from companies that will create skilled, local and sustainable jobs.
"A new Wylfa is one of those and that's why I support the opportunities it could bring our island in terms of jobs and prosperity."[1]

It is not clear to us if this stance is shared by Plaid Cymru as a party, or if the Welsh Assembly currently has any influence on the issue[2].
