Maureen Watt

Maureen Watt is a Scottish National Party list MSP for North East Scotland, and the party's 2011 Scottish general election candidate for Aberdeen South and North Kincardine. She stood for election in Aberdeen South at the 2005 UK general election.


On 10th November 2010, Watt spoke in a Parliamentary debate on the topic of Science, held on the same day as a Science and Parliament event organised by groups including the Royal Society of Chemistry. In her speech, Watt praised scientific work in various Scottish institutions, and expressed a wish to see the education system encouraging an interest in STEM subjects in primary schools.
