Hornchurch was a Parliamentary constituency prior to the 2010 general election.

Following their review of parliamentary representation in London, the Boundary Commission for England abolished the seats of Hornchurch and Upminster to form the new combined seat of Hornchurch and Upminster.

The standing MP for Hornchurch, James Brokenshire (Conservative), successfully stood for election in Old Bexley and Sidcup in 2010.
