Harwich is a former Parliamentary constituency abolished for the 2010 general election. The majority of the wards went to the new Clacton constituency, although the town of Harwich and some surrounding areas went to the Harwich and North Essex constituency.

The standing MP, Douglas Carswell (Conservative), was elected as MP for Clacton.
