Richard Harrington is the Conservative MP for Watford. He entered Parliament at the May 2010 general election, taking the seat from Claire Ward (Labour).


Richard Harrington is a member of the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Integrated Healthcare.[1]


In June 2010, Richard Harrington signed Early Day Motions 284: BMA Annual Representative Meeting Motions on Homeopathy[2], 285: Effect of Homeopathic Remedies on Breast Cancer Cells[3], 286: Homeopathic Medicines in the Treatment of Moderate to Severe Depression[4], and 287: Homeopathy and Chronic Primary Insomnia[5].

Select Committee Nomination

In 2010, Richard Harrington was one of the MPs to nominate Nadine Dorries for the position of Chair of the Health Select Committee.[6]

Same-Sex Marriage

Richard Harrington voted in favour of the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill at both its second reading in February 2013[7] and its third reading in May 2013[8].
