Conor Murphy is a Sinn Féin member of the Northern Ireland Assembly for Newry and Armagh. From 2005 until 2015 he was also MP for the UK parliamentary constituency of Newry and Armagh, and in June 2012 he stood down as an MLA, in line with Sinn Féin's policy against double jobbing. He returned as a member of the Northern Ireland Assembly in June 2015, following his stepping down as an MP at the UK general election.
