Ben Weald was the 2010 English Democrat Party Parliamentary candidate for Enfield, Southgate.

Skeptical Voter Questionnaire Response

[1. Do you support the use of NHS money to provide unproven health products such as homeopathy?]

Question 1 - Yes

[2. Should schools be allowed to teach creationism as an equivalent theory to evolution?]

Question 2 - Yes

[3. Do you believe that religious belief should be legally protected from ridicule?]

Question 3 - Yes

[4. Should an independent government adviser whose views in their area of expertise conflict with government policy be able to express those views publicly?]

Question 4 - Yes - If he is a government advisor he is still a person with his own views and should be able to express them without fear

[5. Should religious courts such as Sharia and Beth Din be recognised as alternative systems within UK law?]

Question 5 - No - 1 law , one nation

[6. Do you agree that testing on animals (within strict criteria) is a necessary part of the development of medicines?]

Question 6 - No - If there can be a better way found to do this it should be used but if there is no other way then strict contrrols need to be inplace so that animals are made to suffer a minimum amount if at all.

[7. Should policy-makers trust scientific evidence even when it appears counter-intuitive?]

Question 7 - Policy makes should use every available resourc to be able to make the best choice or decision there is with all sources avalible to them.

[8. Do you think that abortion time limits should always be determined by the current scientific and medical consensus?]

Question 8 - I would need to know more about this before i could give a full and acurate answer.

[9. Should religious leaders be entitled to vote in the House of Lords?]

Question 9 - No - on what grounds would this happen and what right would they have to do this - next it would be people with MBE's etc etc

[10. Do you support the reform of English and Welsh libel law to allow a stronger 'public interest' defence?]

Question 10 - No celebritys put themselves out infront of people and get paid well and should allow people to critisize them when they step out of line -rules on children and being pictured should be enforced
