The current MP is Dan Jarvis (Labour).

2011 By-Election

MP Eric Illsley retained his seat for Labour in the May 2010 general election. However, a few weeks after the election he was charged over his Parliamentary expenses and suspended from the Labour Party. In January 2011 he announced that he would be standing down as an MP, and a by-election was held on 3rd March.
