Barbara Keeley

Barbara Keeley is the Labour MP for Worsley and Eccles South. Prior to boundary changes at the 2010 general election she was MP for Worsley.


In May 2008 in the abortion amendments to the Human Fertilisation and Embryology Bill (now Act), Barbara Keeley voted to keep the current time limit of 24 weeks in line with the scientific and medical consensus[1].

Hidden Pharmaceutical Trial Data

In December 2012 Ms Keeley was one of six MPs to write a joint letter to the Public Accounts Committee to request action on hidden trial data and specifically Tamiflu.[2]

Same-Sex Marriage

Barbara Keeley voted in favour of the Marriage (Same Sex Couples) Bill at both its second reading in February 2013[3] and its third reading in May 2013[4].
