Alison McInnes

Alison McInnes is a Liberal Democrat list MSP for the North East Scotland region. In the 2011 Scottish general election she is also standing as a candidate in Aberdeenshire East.

Science

On 10th November 2010, Alison McInnes spoke in a Parliamentary debate on the topic of Science, held on the same day as a Science and Parliament event organised by groups including the Royal Society of Chemistry. In her speech McInnes noted that "scientific understanding and innovation are central to our country's progress", and also that despite improvements a gender imbalance still exists in science.
